I THINK YOU CAN BE A GOOD SOCIAL DANCER WITHOUT COMPROMISING YOUR TECHNIQUE. I PERSONALLY TRY TO USE THE SOCIAL FLOOR FOR MORE PRACTICE. HOWEVER, I STILL HAVE FUN, AND TRY TO HELP WHOEVER I'M DANCING WITH HAVE FUN AS WELL. SOME MEN ACT I'M GOING TO BEAT THEM UP IF WE MESS UP ON THE SOCIAL FLOOR. I'M VERY QUICK TO LET THEM KNOW, THAT IT IS NOT A BIG DEAL. THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION. CHILL OUT. I UNDERSTAND THAT THEY, TOO ARE TRYING TO LEARN AND NEED TO PRACTICE, SO IF THERE ARE SOME BAD LEADS HERE AND THERE, I'M NOT GOING TO GET MY PANTIES IN A BUNCH. PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN TO BE PATIENT AND UNERSTANDING.

This is especially true of the 2 dance clubs that we belong to. We were members of one of them for 2 years and there were still members that acted like they had never seen us before, that is until I became an officer and then those same folks acted like we were long lost relatives!
