Does anybody know of a piece of music from a musical/show that could be used to dance a rumba?
I am doing a show this sunday & need some inspiration.
I have used "Last Night of The World from Miss Saigon"

Can anybody offer any others?

Many thanks

"All I ask of You" from "Phantom of the Opera" has always been one of my favorites. A bit long-in-the-tooth nowadays but still beautiful.

You have to find the ballroom version though to get the Rumba tempo.

Apologies for being short and sweet in that message Peanut, I was running late for my lectures.

If you can get hold of CFD 10, that's the one that's all Films and Shows. Of course they're all reworked for dancing, but they offer ideas of what may be possible.

Good luck

There's one in evita that's really good.
I think it's called "good for you" or something like that.

I think "like I never said goodbye" from sunset boulevard is a rumba (also a paraphrase of the title).

For cartoon musicals, the anastatia song "journey to the past" (at least the spanish version at the end of the CD is). I think the english version might be a rumba, but it's a little shakier maybe (I'd have to listen to it again).

Of course there are a million remixes of phantom of the opera, but I don't know if any of the original recording is.
my favorate is the "island drums" "all I ask of you". I fell over laughing the first time I heard that one.. you can just see the phantom playing the bongos in the background.

Wow thanks for all the suggestions. In the end we stuck with last night of the World from Miss Saigon, because we already had the cd & were really pushed for time.

But i will keep all the suggestions in mind for next time, actually next time it's xmas music

Thanks Guys
