Somebody came up with a really cool idea. It goes something like this; Rent out a dance hall with a hotel nearby for one night only, hire a DJ , set up a bar with lite food, and send out an email to dance groups a couple months in advance with directions, start the evening off with a lesson, then have a party, throw in a cash pool Jack and Jill Amateur and Pro comp and what you get is The MID ATLANTIC DANCE JAM Swing and Hustle Dancers Party- This "idea" became a reality and was done down in Maryland and yours truly attended . The concept was great and I had a wonderful time, as did the thousand others who showed up during the course of the evening. Amatuers and pros mixed in a fun filled evening without the "competetion" "show" "Performing" mentality to get in the way. The prelim jack and jills were done fast so 90 % of the evening was just partying. Those few who went to the finals at midnight were about the only people who had a care in the world it seems. Overall it was lots of fun.
