BURLINGTON SOUND OF MUSIC FESTIVAL: DOWNTOWN STREETFEST
Downtown StreetFest This Friday & Saturday

Join DanceScape this Friday and Saturday at the Burlington Sound of Music Festival's "Downtown StreetFest". There will be Ballroom, Salsa, Latin, NIA, Belly Dancing, & Ballet demonstrations and lessons, as well as information about our other upcoming events. On Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m., we will be attempting to set the Guinness Book of World Records for the Longest Conga Line Dance down Brant Street. If we can't break the record, we can set the first Canadian Record! LOL. We invite everyone (and your friends/relatives) to join in the fun. Please arrive as early as you can (especially with parking) for the line setup, a short CONGA lesson (see "D" at www.dancescape.com/soundofmusic).

On Saturday evening, Kaareli's Wine Bar & Bistro has kindly offered space on their patio area, near the Performance Pod at Elgin/Brant for Ballroom, Latin, and Salsa dancing, so BRING YOUR DANCE SHOES! Kaareli's is located at 1504 Elgin Street (see www.dancescape.com/soundofmusic for the map).

Mark your calendar for "Dancing to the Sounds of the Brant Inn" on Saturday, July 21st, beginning at 7:00 p.m. This will take place at the Burlington Waterfront, the Compass Area near Spencer Smith Park. This event will be hosted by Paul Hanover, the original MC at the Brant Inn, and co-hosted by Beverley Cayton-Tang, DanceScape.
