socialcrawlfavorite musical
yea, so just wanted to know what your favorite "musical" was. For me it has to be hands down "rent". I just think the whole concept was so well put together, and it sort of helped to educate a nation regarding aids. Truly ahead of its time. I just bought the original cast recordings, and it helped keep that memory of when i went opening night alive. Some honorable mentions would be Wicked, or the Lion king. Let me know what you think, and feel free to let me know your favorites. Ta for now!

danceScapeHi socialcrawl,
We've heard so much about RENT, but have never actually seen it! Wow, you went to opening night ... was this when it first debuted on Broadway? Were there celebrities and stars there?
Favorite Musicals (not in any order):
* Lion King
* Phantom of the Opera
* Joseph & the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (only because some of us are "Donny Osmond" fans
)
* Sweeney Todd
* Sunday in the Park with George
* Man of La Mancha (very inspirational message)
* Fiddler on the Roof
* Into the Woods
* Victor/Victoria (mainly because of the "Waltz" music from this)
Also, think Elton John is coming up with a new musical based on Anne Rice's "Lestat" (saw a fascinating interview with Anne Rice, and apparently, she's now a devout Christian!)
Great topic!
