I don't think you're missing out much, Chris. This is pretty much the war zone here... WW1 among ballroom dancers!
I'd rather hop into the soapbox and fly back to the friendlier threads right this minute!! I bid you all fighters adieu!

Joe, You have to be careful around the French ladies. Remember Joan d'Arc or possibly Tango d'Arc. Blair

Two points: 1) I've thought for the past two years that Alex and Valery were the best package anyway...with Kenneth and Anna right behind them... so, no change there.
2) I would be very shocked if ANY two dancers could come together and within the first weeks of their new partnership actually look pleasing to the eye. Maybe I'm just inexperienced in the "new partnership" area... but I would expect Val and Sandra to need at least a few months before they really start to understand each other and begin moving/dancing as a unit. I say, give them time... they may surprise you afterall.
One last thing - I'm excited for all the dancers involved (Diana, Val, Sandra, [Diana's new partner], and all American dancers/competitors who strive to see our country attain new levels of excellence in dancesport). One thing seems certain to me, that the breakup of this partnership may produce even higher "highs" for Val and Diana, not to mention their new partners, as they grow and mature and challenge themselves anew.

I do not think that they are that different. They are both beautiful people who are great dancers. I have seen them both compete before. And for all of you with your bold opinions on others, why dont you be so bold and sign a name with your comment. I wish all of the new partnerships tremendous luck.

Val and Sandra as well as most of the top youth/under 21 couples of the New York/New Jersey area will be competing at Nyemcheks Junior All-Star in New Jersey this weekend.
