lindy and balboa all the way. i just like the looser style of lindy and the body lead used for bal. i like doing east coast with beginners, but thats mainly because i've lost a lot of my ec from lack of use. westcoast, well...i learned a bit...but found that i could usually lead most westie's with a hollywood lindy lead. sooo..yeah..lindy and ball...

For me personally there's no dance like East Coast; to me it feels the smoothest and I do it the best of any of them.
Of course there are others who feel that West Coast, Lindy ect. has the smoother feel, but to each their own.
i think that for lindy it really depends on what style you do. There are some styles that are tres smooth...others are definately not...just depends where you are and what style you like...
West Coast, because it's smooth, slinky, sexy, hot, dynamic, funky...anything you want it to be! There's such a wide range of songs you can dance it to, even on a crowded dance floor, and every one makes it a different dance.
smoothness is not style dependant. Take a look at Frankie Manning and Dean Collins, both in the movie "Hellzapoppin'". Two very drastic styles and both smooth as silk.
