Would it be a good Idea to buy some cheap Pointe shoes off of ebay just wear to get used to the shoes, not to go on pointe but, just to wear while waching tv or walking around the house. (NOT ON EN POINTE, just regular walking)

Hi SugarPlumFairy1, In our opinion, it's better to spend more money on a good product and especially one that "fits" your feet. Especially in Ballet where if your goal is eventually to go on point, you really do need to take care of your feet as early as possible! If you go to the BALLET section of www.dancescape.TV there is a Video interview with the Managing Director of Freed which is one of the leading Ballet shoe manufacturers in the world. He talks about how there is a transitional shoe that can help build strength in your feet. So our advice is to start out on the right foot(wear)! LOL

yeah, i really wouldnt get cheap ones off the net. A couple of the older girls in my ballet school (they're doing advanced 2) have demi-pointe shoes and they're to work your feet and make them stronger, they would help maybe..
