DanceScape is incorporating "Line Dances" in "Session@ the Dance".

We would like to compile, and then make available FREE to all registered DanceScape.TV subscribers:

http://www.dancescape.tv/session/index2.asp

Please post the names of any popular line dances that you have come across at dance clubs or events. If you happen to have the steplists, please email to info@dancescape.com. Or, if you are a "line dance afficianado or expert", please email us so we can enable you to enter the dances in the Session@ the Dance Database.

I noticed you had Mambo No. 5, Bus Stop, Electric Slide, and some others in the dancescape.TV Session section.

Other popular line dances are:

Samba Line Dance
Pachunga (sorry, not sure how to spell this one)

If Madison is a line dance, it's my favourite one. And I practice it at least once a week in a club in Paris.

You sure you want to compile the literally thousands of line dance step sheets out there? You'd be reproducing the work of many people. I'd recommend you simply link to Kickit, which is the best step sheet site I've ever found. They're at www.kickit.to.

As a line dance teacher and one who dances socially and competitively, I encourage more people to try line dancing. It's great fun, wonderful exercise, and you don't need a partner!

I find it interesting that the dances listed so far are all ones I've never heard of...with the exception of the Madison, a dance from the 1950s!

The last I heard Kickit.to is no longer.

There is another database for line dances though it is djmukonline.co.uk they have probably the next biggest database of dances after Kickit.to.

my favourite line dance is a beginner dance called Woody's I don't know the choreographer but I will see if I can write the script and I'll post it to ya.

The other dances I like are Cha Cha Ruleta by Scott Blevins
Bring it on by Daniel Whittaker
and my dances but then I would say that wouldn't I lol
again I don't have scott or daniels step sheets but I'll get them to ya... they are advance dances but beautiful to dance [Smile]

there are links to some great line dance web sites and more on my site www.dance75.fsnet.co.uk
