Hi Belle_of_the_Ball,
I am also new to this site but has enjoyed reading everyone's comment very much. I know the Arthur Murray Dance Studio offers instruction in both International and American style of dancing, you may want to give it a try.

Thank You. My husband and I didn't start dancing untiI the children all left the house, and we had a bit more time to ourselves. In the beginning we were only thinking of learning a few dances so we can go on cruises which we both love to do. After a few lessons, we both enjoyed it so much that we decided that we should change our focus and really make dancing something rewarding. We both found out that since we started dancing, we had less aches and pains, more energy, and we are generally healthier. We have been dancing together for 9 years now. We even went to a few competitions and we hope to keep on dancing for as long as we can.

That is so wonderful to hear, dancing for health! Dancing really gives so many benefits ... not only for the "soul", but also for fitness. We know of so many people who are more mature, but because they dance, their health levels are equivalent to people 10 to 20 years younger than their chronological age. We've also seen others whose friends were the same age, but they appeared much older. Thanks for sharing!
