I'm not entirely sure if this is the best place to post this, but I am new to ballroom dancing and would love to compete someday but am lost as to how to get started. How do I find a partner and dancing lessons? I'm from Alberta, Canada so I'm not sure what is available here. How did everyone else get started? I have a strong background in ballet and jazz so I'm sure I could pick it up fairly easy just need to take the right steps to get going. Any advice would be great!
