All comments are great so far and I agree with most. I am not a DJ, but I enjoy dancing west coast swing. I prefer to dance to fresh, new contemporary music. A lot of other dancers enjoy dancing to mix of contemporary and blues.

It requires a lot of work to stay up to date with new music, but when I hear a new song that would be fun to dance to, I grab a copy and add it to my list. My latest discovery was a song by Maroon 5 called Misery, from their new CD Hands All Over. I haven't danced to it yet, but I hope to soon. I am not a country music fan, but I like Carrie Underwood's Cowboy Casanova and Lady Antebellum's Need You Now.

Most experienced dancers do not want to hear those tired old songs like Mustang Sally and Pink Cadillac. We appreciate the challenge of some new music.
